Terms & Conditions

Yurtshire Limited, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 08856132 whose registered office is at Yew Tree House, Aldfield, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 3BE (herein after called “Yurtshire” or “Us”) agrees to hire the Yurt to you subject to these terms and conditions.

Yurtshire reserves the right to change this website, including prices, and terms and conditions, without notice.

Rental Period

The “Rental Period” commences on and ends on the dates stated in your booking confirmation.

Payment of the deposit/full amount when making a booking is evidence of the Hirer’s acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Security/Damages Deposit

A security/damages deposit amount of £100 per yurt is to be available to be pre-authorised against your credit/debit card at time of booking. The money is simply reserved and then released after your stay, subject to no damages occurring during your stay.

The deposit will be charged to your card if damages occur in order to cover the cost of any professional cleaning charges, replacement or repairs required to the Yurt or its contents.

Rental Cost

The Rental Cost is calculated in accordance with the prevailing rates available on our website.

If the booking is made 6 weeks prior to the arrival date, a 50% deposit is required at time of booking to confirm the booking and the final balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival. If the booking is made 6 weeks or less prior to the arrival date then full payment is due at time of booking.

Prices are not binding. Yurtshire reserves the right to modify prices. Any discounts and special offers cannot be used after a booking has been made.

The price includes rental of the yurt and pitch, bed linen, pillow and duvet, use of the Yurtshire’s grounds (where permitted), use of water, gas and car parking.

Occupancy, Nuisance and Rights of Refusal

Occupancy of the Yurt must not exceed 5 people. Yurtshire reserve the right to refuse entry to the site if the numbers in your group exceed this. The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.

Yurtshire is a peaceful and tranquil setting and loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated. There is a “no noise” curfew at 10pm to respect other guests and Yurtshire’s surrounding neighbours.

Guests who are deemed to be causing noise or nuisance will be given one warning and then if the nuisance persists they will be liable for loss of Damages Deposit and/or ejected from the site.

We do not allow Stag or Hen Party Bookings.

We do not allow speaker or amplified music to be played on site as we want all guests to enjoy the sounds of nature.

We also reserve the right to refuse entry to the campsite, cancel bookings, or instruct people to leave the campsite during the Rental Period, for any reason (for example due to inappropriate behaviour, complaints from other campsite occupants, dangerous weather or site conditions).

Cancellation Policy

You have the right to cancel your reservation within 48 hours from making a booking with no charge, provided your “Rental Period” is not due to commence within 14 days from when you made the booking. To exercise your right to cancel within this period, you must inform Yurtshire in writing of your clear intention to cancel. Notification should be sent via email to info@yurtshire.co.uk.

Please notify us immediately by telephone – 01423 740783  if you wish to cancel your reservation for any reason after this initial period and then ensure the cancellation is notified to us in writing to info@yurtshire.co.uk.

In the event Yurtshire re-lets the Yurt reserved for you for the same “Rental Period” at the same Cost, your “Rental Cost” will be refunded in full, less a £25 administration charge.

Please note, Yurtshire is under no obligation to offer up any Yurts subject to cancellation at a discount to other customers and will re-advertise on a reasonable endeavours basis only. You are advised to obtain insurance cover for your stay to cover cancellation in the event of insurable events.

If possible, Yurtshire may use its discretion to agree to change your booking to another date, subject to availability and any additional costs that may apply at the new date.

Force Majeure

If Yurtshire has to cancel your reservation for any reason beyond its control (including, but not limited to, trade disputes, fire, act of god or adverse weather), every effort will be made to reschedule your booking to an alternative date and to provide information to your insurance company if requested. You are advised to obtain insurance cover for your stay to cover cancellation in the event of insurable events.

Yurtshire’s liability to you shall be limited to a refund of any Damage Deposit paid.

Privacy

Your contact and personal details may be kept by us for future mailings and news. If you do not wish to receive these, please do let us know. The booking process asks for your address details and phone numbers. These are required by the Local Authority so at any time we can prove you are not residents at the campsite. It also allows us to contact you should the internet fail and if we need to contact you whilst you are travelling to the campsite. Please note that your financial details are NEVER stored and all of our financial transactions are handled by SagePay secure server. We will not pass on or sell your details to any third parties.

Please refer to the Privacy Policy on our website for additional information.

Customer Complaints

We hope you are entirely satisfied with your Yurt and that your stay is as enjoy-able as possible. If there is anything we can do to assist prior to or during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible. We welcome feedback on your stay and in the unlikely event of any complaints, we seek to address these as soon as possible.

Please note complaints received after the end of your stay cannot be reliably investigated and are therefore most difficult to resolve. To that end, in the first instance of any complaint or any issues, please speak with a member of staff in person or telephone 01423 740783 to bring them to our attention so we can help to resolve matters as quickly as possible and lessen any potential adverse impact on your stay.
