Covid-19 Safety Measures

Our steps for your safety…

As a small, luxury glamping site, set in stunning open countryside with considerable spacing between each of our self contained yurts and facilities, we have and continue to take our COVID-19 responsibilities extremely seriously.

It’s so important to us that we are able to reassure our guests that we are taking all the possible steps we can to ensure you can enjoy your stay with us safely and confidently. The following measures apply at Yurtshire.

  • 1m+ social distancing to be observed at all times.
  • It is the responsibility of every individual, to respect government guidelines to ensure we are respectful of the needs and concerns of other individuals.

  • We pride ourselves in providing a friendly service here at Yurtshire. Our team members will be around to provide as much, or as little, interaction as required by each individual guest.
  • Ordinarily we would usually greet guests on arrival and do a show round of the yurts and it’s facilities. However, guest and staff safety is paramount and we have therefore adapted our usual check-in procedures to ensure less contact where possible. The guest check-in procedure will be detailed in the guests online ‘My Stay Planner’.
  • The hard copy welcome pack has been removed temporarily from the yurts and all information is now provided in the guests online ‘My Stay Planner’, including details about ‘How To’ use the facilities.
  • Designated trolleys for each yurt will be available from the Trolley Station which is situated next to the car park so that guests can easily transport their own luggage to their yurt.

  • The yurt doors will be kept opened on changeovers to assist with ventilation, wherever possible
  • Hand sanitising stations will be available at key entry points around the site for guests to help themselves.
  • Each yurt will have hand sanitiser for guests to use throughout their visit.
  • Hand wash basins are situated in each bathroom with signage to encourage guests to wash their hands frequently.
  • An enhanced cleaning schedule will be undertaken after guests depart, including all key touch points such as door handles.
  • All cleaning staff will be provided with PPE including gloves.
  • Gloves will be available for all guests on request.
  • Some soft furnishings have been removed from the yurt
  • All laundry is washed at a temperature which guarantees elimination of any potential trace of Covid-19.

  • To minimise physical contact the use of cash is discouraged. Payments for extra logs/laundry should ideally be made by card/contactless with pre-payment prior to arrival, wherever possible. If you need to pay via cash for logs or any extras please have the correct change available.

  • If you need to alter your booking, either due to government guideline changes or if you are having to self-isolate, you can move your booking within 48 hours of your booking date, to any future available date within 12 months of the original booking at no extra charge.
  • We have revised our booking policy and are now only taking a 50% deposit to confirm a booking. The remaining balance will be due 6 weeks prior to your arrival. If for any reason we have to postpone/cancel your booking due to government restrictions we will of course reschedule for a suitable date to suit or offer a voucher for the money paid to date.

  • All guests must provide Yurtshire with the names and contact details for all the guests in their booking party, prior to arrival. These details will be kept on record for Covid-19 track and trace purposes.
  • Yurtshire staff will be required to check in/out and a register kept for track and trace purposes.

As the Coronavirus outbreak comes under control, certain measures may be reduced, amended or eliminated.
