How many guests does each Yurt sleep?

Our Yurts can comfortably accommodate five people. Each has a double bed, double futon and single futon. During the day the futons can be folded away to make a pleasant seating area.

Do we need to bring bedding?

No all your bedding is provided. Each yurt comes with freshly laundered sheets, pillows and duvets.

The double bed will be made up for your arrival but the futons will be folded away to allow for a pleasant seating area when you arrive. The bedding will be folded on top of the futons.

Are towels provided?

Yes. Each guest is given a complimentary bath towel.
We recommend bringing an extra towel if you wish to use the hot tub.

Are there hot tubs on site?

Yes. Each site has wood burning hot tubs on site.

Yurtshire Swinithwaite (our site near Leyburn) has private wood burning hot tubs with each yurt. The other two sites have hot tubs on site for all guests to use.

Do I need to pre-book to use the hot tub?

No. We operate on a first come first served basis. We’ve never had an occasion where other guests want to use the hot tubs at the same time.

How long does it take to heat the hot tub?

Typically 2-3 hours, but it depends on the temperature of the water used to fill the tub and the outside weather conditions. On a warm day with a light breeze and some gentle stirring with the oar it will heat up fastest.

How do you heat the hot tub?

Only fire up the burner when there is sufficient water in the tub to cover the burner chamber which is below the flue outlet. You can control the temperature by regulating the amount of wood added and air supply via the lid opening.

Is the hot tub pre-heated?

Are logs provided?

Yes. Each yurt is given a complimentary basket of logs. The logs are used to fuel the wood burning stove (inside the yurt) and the hot tub. Extra logs can be purchased on site for £5 per bag.

Is a Yurt holiday suitable for children?

Yes, a yurt holiday is ideal for children, it’s fun, different and above all exciting. There’s also loads of things to do both in the surrounding area and beyond.

Will we be warm enough?

Yes, the yurts are fully equipped with a wood burning stove which will keep you all cosy and warm. We provide one basket of logs and firelighters upon arrival. Further baskets of logs are for sale on site.

Are the yurts secure?
